It has been noted that some UAW locals in the GM department have received jackets. We have inquired about the status of the jackets for our membership. Management has stated that the jackets have been ordered but due to the large number of people we have at LDT it will take longer for them to arrive. We were assured we would be getting our jackets as soon as possible.
The membership of local 602 has overwhelmingly supported their bargaining team by voting 86% in favor of strike action if necessary. Local management will be notified of these results with the intent to bring the parties back to the negotiations table. The local union is very proud of this response from the union members of local 602 who build the highest quality vehicles in the industry.
